Rules and Format of UK 8 Ball Singles League
Each division contains 6 players, however if there is an odd number of players then some divisions may contain slightly more or less. In each season players will play everyone in their division twice. It is up to the players to play their matches before the deadlines, there is no schedule for the fixtures.
Each season will last approximately 6 weeks with a small break in between. The top 2 players from each division will be promoted and the bottom 2 relegated. If a player(s) have a valid reason for being unable to complete their fixtures before the scheduled deadline, the deadline for that season may be extended. The host of the event will decide what qualifies as a valid reason. If a player does not have a valid reason, all results involving that player will be scrapped. Should this player wish to continue to play in the league they will be relegated to the bottom division.
In each fixture 6 frames will be played. Three points will be awarded for a win, one point awarded for a draw and zero points for a loss. Half a point will be awarded for each seven balling and one point given for a run out (break and dish). Frame difference will be considered if two players have the same points total. If the frame difference is the same, their head to head matches will be considered. If two players have identical stats and their position in the division is important (for relegation/promotion) then a play off match will be played.
